Sonogram

We had the "big" sonogram today and found out that we are having a boy! We haven't come up with names yet, but we have 19 more weeks to hash that out. We have decided not to publicize the name until after the baby arrives. That way no one can make funny faces or comments and try to talk us out of a name we've committed to. Let's just call him Harry Potter for now.

Looking less like an Alien

I had another doctor's appointment today. This on included a long ultrasound for measurements used to screen for genetic birthdefects. She said everything looked good and those results will be in sometime next week. This ultrasound showed what looked more like a baby and not an alien or bean shape. The baby was jumping around like crazy in there although it is still too early for me to feel the movement. It looks like I am instore for an active child ;). The ultrasound tech was not 100% sure on the gender so she is holding out until the 20 week ultrasound in early November.

First Photo - Baby Hooper

We had our first ultrasound today so I have posted the very first photo of our child. It kind of resembles ET. The head is the blob on the bottom right and the torso and legs are the blob on the left. The Doctor said that we are 11 weeks along and everything looks good. Due date is March 24, 2007.
