I have migrated all of the Charlie related posts from the hooper cob webs site to the Charlie Hooper Central blog. I wanted to have a place where all of his pictures and memories could be viewed in one place. Plus I can reclaim my personal blog for myself!

7 months

It's hard to believe that Charlie is already 7 months old. Right now he is teething and trying to crawl. The poor child is constantly stuffed up and currently has ear infections in both ears. That should make our trip to South Bend this weekend kinda rough with a sick kid on a plane. Luckily ear infections are not contagious so I don't feel too bad about exposing the other passengers to him.

I had to take Charlie to the Doctor yesterday for his ears. Since they pulled ALL of the infant decongestants off the market we have to spend $40 and 2 1/2 hours at the ped's office just to get a bottle of Tussin 12-D! I feel really bad for the child fatalities with the PediaCare and other meds, but... Obviously those parents were not smart about medicating their little ones. Now the FDA has to pull all of those meds because of parents OD-ing their children. I haven't heard, but I hope that they eventually come back over the counter. Peanut butter did, so these will too hopefully.

Charlie Jump Up

Whoa did August fly by or what? It was a super fast month, but Chad and Charlie and I managed to get away for a long weekend in Fredericksburg, Texas and this past weekend we spent in Coleman Texas at our Brother in law's ranch. This is a picture of Charlie hanging out at the ranch in his "Johnny Jump up." He loves to bounce in that thing, he giggles and grins! It is too cute. If you click the "Chad's Picasa Link" off to the right there are more photos of the kiddo and the family at the ranch.

First Dip in the Pool

Yesterday Chad, Mary and I took Charlie up to Willowbrook for his first dip in the pool. I have a pool pouch from hotslings so Charlie was right at home in his sling as we waded into the pool. We stayed out there for 4+ hours. Charlie napped and the adults ate lunch and read chapters of Hary Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We are hoping to enroll in water baby classes at the end of this month. The Water baby classes are for babies 6 months and older here at the TJC swimming pool.

Batman

Charlie has these fantastic onsies from Six Flags that he received as a gift from Casey and Kelly Heying (owners of buymetoys.com) This past weekend we dressed him up as batman while Uncle Brad was in town for the Baptism. Charlie looks so serious as the Dark Knight, don't you think? There are more pictures of Charlie as Batman and of his baptism under Angela's Picassa Web Album (look for link to the right).
